Sewing Machine Maintenance Day with Lisa Hook
The Journey
Bring your machine in for one day service with Lisa Hook. These slots are for regular maintenance only. Issues that are part of a normal service include the needle threader not working, tension issues, and thread breakage. If you are having any issue that you might be more than a regular service, give Lisa a call at (858) 997-3928.
A deposit of $50 is required to reserve your spot. The fee is a non-refundable deposit, but the service may be rescheduled. Additional fees will be collected on machine pickup.
The prices for machine services are as follows:
Singer Featherweight (Model 221 and 222) - $80
Mechanical (Buttons or knobs under mechanical assistance / no screen) - $100
Digital (Buttons or knobs turn with no resistance to make a computer do something. No screen or non-touchscreen.) - $140
Touchscreen (No embroidery capability. Excludes Bernina jumbo bobbin machines.) - $160
Flatbed Embroidery Capable (All flatbed embroidery machines (with or without embroidery and all jumbo bobbin Berninas) - $180
Not available for one day clinic:
Multineedle embroidery machines (These machines should moved as little as possible. Onsite service only.) $200
Long Arm Service:
(The frame is part of the service. Onsite service only.) $200
Service call:
(Non-service house call, may be more depending on what is needed.) Starts at $50

Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we will do our best to help you reschedule when possible.
Classes
Class registrations are non-refundable. If you need to cancel, your class fee will be transferred to another class. The amount paid will be applied toward or cover the new class, depending upon the class selected.
Maker Space Reservations
Maker Space reservations are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your reserved time, the amount paid will be applied to a future Maker Space reservation.
Retreats
Twisted Stitches Sponsored retreats have the following cancelation policy. Please note that private retreats or those organized by outside instructors may have different cancelation policies.
- Cancellations made two weeks or more in advance will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made one week to 13 days in advance will receive a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made 6 days or less before the retreat are non-refundable.
